Nokia 2310

Welcome to this review of a Nokia classic design, the 2310, the phone for people who want a small lightweight phone primarily for making phone-calls and texts.

First of all I have to mention the feature that I have found to be one of most essential to me, the in built FM radio which sets it apart from other similar low budget phones. As many of its competitors its a very lightweight, hard wearing model, with long battery life (400 hours standby, 360 minutes talk-time).

Along with all the positives about this phone, there are negatives, such as it not being capable of pictures messages, no camera in the phone and it having quite a low resolution screen (96 by 68 pixels). Although there is a lack of features, the price more than makes up for this being only £10 to by at UK shops. Despite being lightweight, the buttons are large making it easy for people with chunky fingers or poor eyesight to dial. The simple interface allows you to just type the number in a press the call button, no more messing around with complex keypads on some of the more expensive phone, dare i say it this phone would suite older people or those not so used to using this kind of technology, and allows them to use it with ease.

The Nokia 2310 has alot of things customizable, such as removable fascias which are available in a number of bright colours, which make it more stylish. You are also able to customize the screen savers, backgrounds and polyphonic ring-tones, as well as a controllable vibrating alert mode.
